Busy Bees at GC-heat

Busy Bees at GC-heat

For years the population of (wild) bees has been decreasing worldwide.
The reasons for this are numerous and range from the increasing use of insecticides to the spreading of monotonous landscapes with few flowering plants to light pollution and climate change.

Bees play a key role for the preservation of farming and rural life, because they do not only pollinate wild plants but also the majority of all cultivated plants.

Albert Einstein once said: „If the honeybee dies off, human beings will only have four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more human beings.“

In order to make a small contribution, we decided to give two bee hives a new home on the GC-heat premises.

As a bee colony can comprise up to 70.000 individual bees, it’s going to be even busier at GC-heat’s in the future than it has been so far.
